Rick Ross Performs ‘Holy Ghost’ At Miami Birthday Bash
Fans cheered, “Happy birthday, boss,” as an elated Ross made his way to Amnesia’s top-level VIP area, where dozens of music celebrities — including producer/singer Sean Garrett, actor Evan Ross and powerhouse producer Dr. Dre — were waiting in the wings for his arrival. Dre was easily the night’s most-talked-about guest, as the sight of him and Ross together confirmed their union after being spotted hanging out together in Miami recently.
Soon after Ross, the celebrity arrivals began to flow in sync with the hundreds of bottles of Moet Rose champagne and Ciroc vodka that were delivered to his seating area. Party host Diddy showed up soon after with an entourage consisting of new Bad Boy artist French Montana, Cassie and his son Justin. Minutes later, Wiz Khalifa and girlfriend Amber Rose joined the party.

Lil Wayne has been going hard at his skateboard game recently (even launching his new Trukfit clothing line) and this week the Young Money rapper paid a visit to Justin Bieber in the studio and even took some time for a skateboarding session with him. “Good time in the studio last night. back at it tonight. oh yeah…and big bro came thru…,” Bieber tweeted, linking to a photo of him and Wayne with their skateboards. “and when i say big bro i mean @LilTunechi. #BELIEVE IT #family.”
While it’s unknown whether Wayne will appear on Bieber’s album, a certain super-producer is definitely in the mix, according to another tweet: “in the studio with @timbaland and the crew. #creating… got a lot of things i want to write about. ready to make music.”
Bieber has said he hopes his new album will have a Justin Timberlake vibe, similar to what Timbaland created on FutureSex/LoveSounds.
And for those wondering how it all went in the studio, Bieber’s longtime manager, Scooter Braun, filled fans in. “got great reports on the first night with @justinbieber and@timbaland,” Braun tweeted. “Exciting stuff. heard YMCMB stopped by too. gonna be interesting.”
Believe is set to drop later this year. Bieber has already worked with Black Eyed Peas mastermind will.i.am, who will reportedly produce a song for the album. Whether Weezy will have any part on the album, Bieber has said he’s been in talks with other MCs, like pal Drake and Kanye West, to make appearances on the album.
“The only conversation we’ve had about Justin’s album that we’re about to do is, it’s really important that it’s the proper transition, because we’ve seen him [with] ‘Baby,’ now we’re watching him grow up,” vocal producer Kuk Harrell told MTV News. “And we can’t just throw him into the adult game right away. It has to be the proper transition. There’s a record in between.”

Ladies and gentlemen, it was no fluke.
When the first trailer for “G.I. Joe: Retaliaton” hit the web, I felt deceived by the director, Jon M. Chu. He had not told me how badass the sequel to Stephen Sommers’ “G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra” could possibly be until he released that first trailer. It was quite a shock.
Having eventually recovered, I was much more prepared for the thirty-second Super Bowl ad for the upcoming sequel. I expected ninja sword fights on a vertical rock face. Bruce Willis‘ terse, machine gun-toting Original Joe wouldn’t bring me to tears. Those things could not surprise me.
Then I saw Snake-Eyes’ exploding motorcycle.
The spot may be short, but it certainly leaves you with a good sense of what this movie’s all about: fun, great action and Dwayne Johnson. We get the same feel as we did from the first trailer with a few new shots thrown in, including one of Snake-Eyes shooting ninja stars out of the air.
It starts off in an entirely appropriate way, with Johnson quoting the “immortal words” of Jay-Z’s “Don’t Let Me Die.” Things proceed as you’d expect from there showing off snippets of action and one final interaction with Willis’ Joe.
“Call me, Joe,” he says. Yes, sir!
An added bonus comes in the form of great look at the revamped Cobra Commander, mirrored mask and all! Watching these first two previews, it’s difficult not to believe that Chu may have actually done it. He may have actually made a “G.I. Joe” movie.
Head over to Apple to see the spot!
