A$AP Rocky Is In ‘Love’ With Jessie Ware, And The Feeling Is Mutual

A$AP Rocky currently has the world at his feet, with a debut album poised to debut at #1 here in the states and legions of adoring fans across the pond … so now, he’s apparently decided to use some of that newfound clout to get what he wants.

In an interview with the BBC, Rocky let it be known that he very much wants to collaborate with rising British singer — and MTV Artist To Watch for 2013 — Jessie Ware, saying “I knew about her since last summer … I’m going to work with her. I want to bad.”

“I don’t care about her being a star, I just think she has a beautiful voice and a lot of talent,” A$AP continued. “I haven’t got the chance or honor to meet her yet — I just love her art.”

Well, as it turns out, the feeling is mutual. Because when Ware stopped by the MTV Newsroom on Friday (January 18) — just hours after A$AP’s comments began making the rounds — she was all atwitter about the chance of meeting, and working with, the rap world’s newest sensation. All it’s going to take is a meeting.

“I’ve wanted to work with him for so long, I can’t even tell you. I’ve been trying to get through to him; I’m desperate!” Ware laughed. “My manager showed me this [interview] where he was like ‘She’s got this beautiful voice, I want to work with her’ … dreams can come true. We just need to meet! I think we’d get on very well. Apparently he’s very charming, he’s a gorgeous boy, and he’s amazing. Yeah, I definitely, definitely want to work with him. A$AP, it’s a no brainer!”

We agree with Jessie: It’s a no-brainer indeed … so let’s make this happen! Of course, with an EP out in the states, and a full-length planned for the spring, Ware may get an opportunity to collaborate with even more stars before hitting in the studio with A$AP. So who else is on her wishlist?

“This is stalker time. I’d love to work with Frank Ocean, A$AP and Kanye West. I’m aiming high,” she joked. “And I love Chad and Pharrell [from the Neptunes], so them too. And Justin Timberlake’s new song is so good … so, why not, him too!”

Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger Goes After Avril’s Ex Over Halloween Costume

Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley used to be married to Avril Lavigne. Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger is currently engaged to her. So what happened this weekend was probably inevitable.

According to TMZ, Whibley attended a Halloween party dressed as Lavigne — with his girlfriend Ari Cooper in her best Kroeger costume (Jack Daniels T-shirt, facial hair, ridiculous blonde wig) — and posed for several photos … one of which began making the rounds on Twitter.

It was a rather good-natured bit of ribbing from Whibley, who split with Lavigne in 2009, one that Kroeger — who surprised pretty much everybody by revealing he was engaged to Avril back in August — responded to with some barbs of his own.

Taking to Nickelback’s Twitter account, Kroeger — who just wrapped up a string of Russian shows with the band — fired back, taking a jab at Whibley’s career status. “Hey Deryck loved the costumes!” Kroeger wrote. “We were going to dress up as you guys this year but all the parties had celebrity themes.”

Oh snap, man. Kroeger would then challenge Whibley and Cooper to “a couples-bowling grudge match,” and then resumed his usual activities, which include tweeting about Nickelback’s run of Russian shows (Sergei Federov showed up!) No response yet from Whibley or Sum 41. But we’ll definitely keep you posted.

Evelyn Lozada Admits To Past Blowout Fights With Chad Johnson

“Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada and her former NFL-player husband Chad Johnson have been airing out their relationship issues in the media. The former couple, who were slated to have their own VH1 reality show, have fallen apart after an August incident in which Evelyn claimed that Chad physically assaulted her and left her in stitches.

Evelyn recently appeared on Iyanla Vanzant’s, “Fix My Life,” on Oprah’s OWN network in which she broke down her personal struggles in a two-part show. The two discussed Ev’s issues with men, stemming from her nonexistent relationship with her own father, and how that led to promiscuity and accepting disrespectful behavior.

In the second part of the program, Evelyn said the August abuse incident was not the first and in fact, she and Chad had a volatile relationship. “I allowed myself to let him behave that way,” Evelyn confesses and then says that she suspected cheating even before the marriage. “Not really say much. I knew to just leave the argument alone,” she tearfully says about what she would do when she would confront Chad in the past. The “deal breaker” was that she “ended up in the hospital” when Chad head-butted her.

Chad has also been making the media rounds. On “Inside The NFL,” the former Miami Dolphins player emotionally opened up and says that he lost everything, his wife and being able to play football. “I lost that. And you know that saying … ‘You never know what you have until it’s gone.’ And now I finally know what they mean. ” He says that he takes full responsibility for everything and he needs to “work on Chad.” He is in anger management classes now.

When you tattoo your estranged wife’s face on your leg that’s a pretty clear sign that you’re still trying to patch things up, right? A few days after the NFL player got his new ink work, sources are reporting that he refuses to sign the divorce papers Lozada has presented him with.

According to TMZ, the former Dolphins player is holding out on signing Lozada’s divorce papers because he’s confident that he can win her back, while Lozada remains firm in her decision to move forward. If Johnson continues to hold out, however, a Florida judge can still proceeded with the divorce.

Ev recently detailed the night that brought her to divorcing Chad on Nightline. Evelyn tearfully said that she “loves him” still but the distance has helped following the assault, during which Chad alleged head-butted her. “I would like for him to tell me he got help and that he’s working on himself,” said Evelyn when asked what she wants to hear from her ex. She added that “He loves football and he’s very driven and a great dad. He made a bad choice that destroyed his life, and I hate that I’m connected to that…It was his choice, it wasn’t mine.”

Nickelback Singer Doesn’t Care About ‘World’s Opinion’ Of His Engagement To Avril Lavigne

July 1 is not just an important day for Canadians, it’s also extra-special to two of the country’s stars, the recently engaged Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger¸ who decided to take their professional relationship to the next level on Canada Day.

“We think it’s very cool that our anniversary will always be on Canada Day,” Kroeger told People magazine, in the issue featuring “Jersey Shore” star Snooki and her baby, Lorenzo, on the cover. “We can’t wait to start our life together.”

In the magazine (hitting newsstands Friday), Kroeger explained that he doesn’t care what people think about his relationship with Lavigne, whom he started dating earlier this year after they linked up to record music for her album. The couple’s relationship basically flew under the radar until they announced their engagement last month. “I try not to take too much interest in the world’s opinion of our relationship,” Kroeger said. “I just know the both of us are very happy.”

Before they walk down the aisle, Kroeger and his bandmates will be hitting the road with Daughtry, and Lavigne has an open invitation to come hang out with her fiancé on the road.

“She’ll come over and spend some time [with me] when she’s got time,” he said. “They’re going to throw a lot of stuff on her plate with the new record.”

It was only five weeks after Kroeger and Lavigne began dating in July that Chad asked the pop star to marry him on August 8 with a 14-carat diamond engagement ring. “A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together,” a friend of Lavigne’s told People. “He makes her so happy,” a friend of the Lavigne family added. “Both of their families could not be more excited.”

Chad Johnson is breaking his Twitter silence following his much-publicized divorce from “Basketball Wives” star Evelyn Lozada. According to several media outlets, Chad just got a tattoo of Evelyn’s face on his leg over the weekend.

When fans asked Chad about his new ink, the former NFL player was not happy. “Divorce? Child please… that’s my WIFE RT @TeeSplash101: I really want to know why @ochocinco tatted Evelyn’s face on his leg post divorce,” he tweeted today (9/4) followed by “I dont give a flying pretzel in skittle rainbow hell what she filed for… RT @CCHx3REH: I thought she filed for divorce tho?”

Evelyn Lozada is speaking out about the domestic abuse she reportedly faced at the hands of ex-hubby Chad Johnson. In a new sit down with ABC’s Nightline, Evelyn tearfully says that she “loves him” still but the distance has helped following the assault, during which Chad alleged head-butted her.

“I would like for him to tell me he got help and that he’s working on himself,” says Evelyn when asked what she wants to hear from her ex. She says that “He loves football and he’s very driven and a great dad. He made a bad choice that destroyed his life, and I hate that I’m connected to that…It was his choice, it wasn’t mine.”

“It’s the hardest thing in the world to walk away from someone that you really love. But you have to walk away because I have to protect myself.”

Lozada detailed the moments leading up to the incident, explaining that she found a receipt for condoms in his car and confronted him about it.  ”And then the next thing I know, he grabbed me by here [pointing to her head] and he head-butted me,” she said. “I felt blood coming down my face… and I looked at him and I said, ‘You just head-butted me?’ And it just — everything just felt if it was in slow motion.”

The full interview will be aired tonight at 11:35pm ET on ABC.

Evelyn has been largely quiet following the incident. Last week, she was photographed in a flowing sundress, sunglasses and hat–seemingly on her phone–by photographers in Florida per TMZ.

While the domestic dust-up between Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson and Evelyn Lozada has already caused it’s share of subsequent damage, including stitches, divorce proceedings and the likely end of Johnson’s professional football career, Johnson’s NFL buddy Warren Sapp has come to his defense. In a recent interview, Sapp accused Lazada of being the aggressor in the fight that led to her apparent head-butting and Johnson’s arrest for assault.

Sapp, a fellow Miami native, insinuated that holes in Lazada’s story imply that the public doesn’t know the full details. “When is the last time one of your homeboys called you and told you, ‘Let me tell you about this fight at the club last night where this guy and his girlfriend were walking by and he turned around and head-butted the girl.’ Never,” he said. “He’s taking the rap for it. We don’t do that. She did it.”

Sapp continued on the attack, essentially calling Lazada an empty, petty woman who depends purely on looks to get ahead in the world. “That’s a woman that is going to depend on her beauty for the rest of her life to open any door she wants to walk through,” he said. “And she’s going to do what to her forehead? I’m done. [Chad] is a bunch of fun and I am sorry this had to happen to him.”

Late last week, the “Basketball Wives” star was seen in public for the first time since the incident. She was wearing a hat, which covered her forehead almost entirely.

Johnson, who hasn’t exactly fought back after the arrest, has already lost his job with the Miami Dolphins, a television gig and an endorsement with Zico coconut water. His termination from the Dolphins was depicted on the HBO’s documentary series “Hard Knocks.”

Evelyn Lozada has emerged for the first time since the explosive alleged fight with her former-NFL husband, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson. The “Basketball Wives” star was spotted in a flowing sundress, sunglasses and hat–seemingly on her phone–by photographers in Florida per TMZ.

Sources tell TMZ that Evelyn refuses to leave the house without a hat because a laceration on her forehead stemming from the alleged physical argument with Chad required several stitches. Sources also tell the news outlet that Ev has left for Barbados with her daughter to escape the media.

On Aug 12, reports surfaced that Chad was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly head-butting Evelyn in the forehead during an argument. Cops arrived at the scene and Ev had injuries to her forehead. A few days later, Evelyn released a statement via her publicist: ““It is with great sadness and much trepidation that I release this statement addressing the domestic violence incident that happened this past Saturday. Avril Lavigne And Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger Engaged

Surprise lovebirds alert: Canadian rockers Avril Lavigne and Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger are engaged, despite the fact that not many people knew they were even dating. According to People, Lavigne and Kroeger sparked up a romance while they were working together on material for Lavigne’s new album but chose to keep their relationship private.

“A romantic relationship blossomed as they spent time writing together,” a friend of Lavigne’s told the magazine.

Kroeger reportedly popped the question August 8, complete with a 14-carat diamond engagement ring.

“He makes her so happy,” a friend of the Lavigne family told the magazine. “Both of their families could not be more excited.”

Lavigne and Kroeger have yet to comment publicly on their relationship, but the “Girlfriend” singer did re-tweet a message of congrats from Kroeger’s bandmates.

“Congratulations Avril and Chad!” tweeted Nickelback, which includes Ryan Peake, Chad‘s brother Mike Kroeger and Daniel Adair.

This will be the second marriage for Lavigne. She was married to Sum 41′s Deryck Whibley for three years before they divorced in 2009. After her highly publicized split with Whibley, Lavigne dated reality star Brody Jenner — they even got tattoos of each other’s names — but the pair ended their relationship early this year. This will be Kroeger’s first marriage.

Music-wise, Lavigne has said her fifth studio album will have a lighter, more fun pop tone and is expected to be released before the end of the year. In addition to the song written and recorded with Kroeger, Lavigne also enlisted the recording talents of hip-hop production duo the Runners and former Evanescence bandmember David Hodges.
