Naughty By Nature Dispute Fueled By Treach’s ‘Tall Midget’ Diss Track

Naughty By Nature Dispute Fueled By Treachs Tall Midget Diss Track

By Maurice Bobb

Look out Donald Trump, you’re not the only one that can rattle off the phrase, “you’re fired!” Turns out, Naughty by Nature’s Treach has no qualms about owning Trump’s signature line, using Twitter to “fire” longtime partner in rhyme Vin Rock. If that wasn’t enough, the “O.P.P.” MC even released an incendiary diss track, “Tall Midget” on Wednesday (May 8) after Vinnie responded to his tweet saying, “You can’t Fire the Owner.”

“Vinnie from NAUGHTY BY NATURE is Officially FIRED!! Anything he does besides shows til Sept is Frugazy!! F-ck him & the Ground he Walks!!” Treach tweeted Monday (May 6) night. “Anybody that f–ks with that Bitch ass Ni–a Don’t F-ck with Me!! No NAUGHTY shows are Cancelled that’s on the Calendar!!”

“I’m waking to drama. Spoke to my publicist. Silence is Golden. In the meantime Business 101: You can’t Fire the Owner icon wink Naughty By Nature Dispute Fueled By Treachs Tall Midget Diss Track ” Vinnie responded.  Fans of the 1990’s rap collective, who won the Best Rap Album Grammy for 96’s brilliant Poverty’s Paradise, were hoping Anthony Criss’ tweet was the result of a “hack,” but that was quickly dismissed by the East Orange native.

“My Twitter Account wasnt Hacked!! I said it & Stand By it!!” he tweeted.

As for Treach’s lyrical admonishment, “Tall Midget” is a 2-minute long airing of dirty laundry, with Trigger making claims that he wrote Vinnie’s rhymes, that his sidekick was fat like “Winnie the Pooh,” before derisively calling him “Uncle Ad Lib” and warning him that he should never bite the hand that feeds him.

The hook, though, is very catchy: “Industry rule number 100 is funny, tall midgets get short money.”

Yesterday, Treach spoke to AllHipHop about the rift, citing, you guessed it, egos.

“We never wanted to be the group that goes though anything that we can’t resolve on our own, or anything else,” explained Treach, who also dropped mixtape called Tribal Treach.” “Nobody—me being Treach, Kay and Vin being Vin – is larger than the group. We came in on some ego-free sh–. Now, when somebody comes and gets larger than the group, it’s gonna be a problem. If you see any of our albums, it says ‘written and produced by Naughty By Nature.’ Because, homie you was somebody that was over there beat-boxing and break-dancing and any lyrics you had anywhere, was written for you. Don’t never get larger than the group. The producer and the writer of the group are always like ‘we, we, we,’ not ‘me, me, me.’ Even if you don’t do sh–, we gonna make sure you taken care of for the rest of your life.”

The rapid-fire spitter went on to balk at Vinnie’s claims of being an “owner.”

“How dare you ever play like you bigger than the group, or call yourself the owner?” Treach continued. “You’re the boss or you the shot-caller. Or you’re anything else other than what the f— you are—which is a ni–a that needs to be enjoying the f—ing ride. Don’t never question who I am, what I do, how I am. Don’t stay in ya lane—play ya position. Dogs, you can be hired help at any time. You never wrote one hit. You never produced one hit song. You came on as a homie that was there…we threw you a lot of bones just to keep you up in there ’cause you was the homie, from the door, who was up in there. And we always fit you in when there wasn’t a spot for you to be in.”

Talk about awkward, outside of the duo not communicating on a personal level since 2011, the group is scheduled to continue to perform shows together this month, including The Roots’ annual picnic in June.

“Me and Vin haven’t really spoke in like two years, and do more than 100 shows a year-on the same stage,” Treach said. “Wouldn’t nobody know it, because the business is one thing, personal is something else. When sh– is going behind people back and somebody is acting like they above people and other things are being set up that the groups doesn’t know about, it has to be stopped.”

Let’s just hope these two can work it out so they can keep on performing those classic anthems like 19 Naughty III’s “Hip Hop Hooray.”

Michael Jordan Gets Married For The Second Time

Michael Jordan Gets Married For The Second Time

Michael Jordan finally got another ring. But this around, it wasn’t for his exploits on the basketball court. For the second time in his life, the 50-year old owner of the Charlotte Bobcats took the plunge into wedded bliss when he tied the knot with 35-year old former model Yvette Prieto Saturday (April 27) in Palm Beach, Fla.

“They’ve been planning for months and months,” a source told People of the nuptials. “He wanted to give Yvette everything she’s ever wanted.”  Some 300 guests, including Tiger Woods and Spike Lee, watched the six-time NBA champion put a ring on it at Bethesday-by-the-Sea, an Episcopal church where Donald Trump got married to Melania Knauss in 2005.

Another 1,500 guests joined the couple for the reception at the Bears Club, which sits on a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course in Juniper, Fla. where the Hall of Famer recently built a palacial 38,000 square foot mansion.

The evening’s entertainment was provided by DJ MC Lyte, singers K’Jon, Robin Thicke and Usher, who was backed by an 18-piece band called The Source. Jordan and Prieto met at a nightclub in Miami five years ago and were engaged in December 2011.

The Chicago Bulls legend was previously married to Juanita Vanoy, who he divorced in 2006 after 17 years of marriage. The couple has three children together.

‘The Bible’ On The Big Screen Is The Week’s Biggest News

The Bible On The Big Screen Is The Weeks Biggest News

By Amelia Mularz

Nope, Mel Gibson‘s not involved. This one’s all Mark Burnett, the producer who’s partly to blame for giving Donald Trump his own show (“The Apprentice”), as well as Sarah Palin (“Sarah Palin’s Alaska”), and his wife Roma Downey of “Touched by an Angel” fame. They’re taking their 10-part TV miniseries for the History Channel and re-cutting it into a three-hour movie to be released this fall.

That means you’ll be able to enjoy the story of Jesus and his resurrection the way God truly intended: with your feet resting on a Mountain Dew-saturated floor while clutching a box of Goobers. Plus, while heading to church can be a hassle (c’mon Sunday is for football!), Burnett’s movie will give you a reasonable dose of the biblical for a measly $10-$14 “donation” to your nearest corporately operated, mass movie theater chain.

Then again, Burnett says they haven’t settled on a venue for their film yet. Might we suggest skipping the movie version all together and moving straight into the theme park phase of the series? It’d be like the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, but with a messiah focus.

There could even be a Hall of Biblical Hollywood, similar to the Hall of Presidents at Disney World. This area would feature all the past actors who’ve gotten down with Jerusalem for a movie role. There’s Jim Caviezel who was Jesus in “The Passion of the Christ” and Will Ferrell who took on the savior in “Superstar.” There’s also Patrick Dempsey who once played Jeremiah, Steve Carell who took on Noah, and a whole slew of celebrity Satans, like Elizabeth Hurley, Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Robert De Niro, and Christopher Walken.

Want to read the book version before seeing the movie? No not the actual Bible, silly! Burnett and Downey have also written a novel called “A Story of God and All of Us: A Novel Based on the Epic TV Miniseries ‘The Bible.’”

If this movie really takes off, maybe we’ll see religious flicks of all faiths popping up in the future. Fingers crossed for a sequel to John Travolta’s Scientology thriller “Battlefield Earth.” Or, what about a Torah flick with a hunky Moses?

Mac Miller has to give Tyler and Taco some props for this one. The Odd Future rappers performed on “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” earlier this week, where Tyler debuted the new track “Tree Home,” but he also got into some backstage antics, getting the best of an unsuspecting Donald Trump.

Apparently Taco pretended to love The Donald, so that Tyler could make this photo happen. He then proudly shared the results with Mac Miller (who was recently targeted by Trump) on Twitter, captioned, “Donald Musty Ass.”

“Was photo bombed yesterday by a wise guy when i left the set of @LatenIGHTjIMMY,” Trump explained later, “…..Guy in front asked for picture- said he was the biggest fan, never saw the guy in back.”

During his visit to ‘Jimmy Fallon,’ Tyler performed “Domo 23,” and debuted the new track “Tree Home” from his upcoming album Wolf.

Lil Wayne doesn’t spend an abundance of time in his hometown these days but T.I. managed to get Weezy back in New Orleans to shoot the new video for “Ball.” “It was weird, because we shot it in my ‘hood, and he shot it in some spots that I hadn’t been in so long,” Wayne told MTV News of the clip.

For the song, which will be on T.I’s upcoming Trouble Man LP, due December 18, the King of the South enlisted producer Rico Love, who channeled the spirit of Mannie Fresh‘s bounce-inspired work during Cash Money‘s early days. “I’m a good-looking rapper, I ain’t tryna stunt/ I’mma fire my blunt like Donald Trump,” Weezy F. spits, using his old 1999 rap style.

In order to capture a complimentary visual vibe, T.I. and Weezy trekked to the N.O. and shot a guerrilla-style video like the good old days of Birdman’s storied label, when they churned out visuals for Southern classics like “Ha,” “Tha Block Is Hot” and “Respect Us.”

Nowadays, Wayne resides in Miami, so going back to the place that made him famous was quite the experience. “To just even be back in those spots was crazy and just to have that old atmosphere back, that old Cash Money, shooting videos with the whole ‘hood out there, the whole city out there,” Weezy said. “Just to know that still exists even now, that was awesome.”

No doubt about it, Lil Wayne is a Louisianimal. But the global rap superstar hasn’t been back to his native New Orleans in quite some time. Joe Jonas, Donald Trump Deny Miss USA Pageant ‘Rigged’

There’s been some major controversy surrounding Sunday’s Miss USA competition. Miss Rhode Island’s Olivia Culpo went home the winner, but one of her fellow beauty queens wasn’t satisfied with that outcome.

After Miss Pennsylvania, Sheena Monnin, gave up her state crown amidst her allegations that the show was rigged, pageant officials claimed that she actually gave up the crown because she didn’t like the idea of competing against transgendered contestants. It was the first time Miss USA had allowed transgendered contestants to compete. The organization released an e-mail they assert is from Monnin in which she complains about the decision to include transgendered individuals.

For her part, Monnin addressed her departure from the organization on her Facebook page, maintaining her allegations of cheating. “I have decided to resign my position as Miss Pennsylvania USA 2012. Effective immediately I have voluntarily, completely, and utterly removed myself from the Miss Universe Organization,” she wrote. “In good conscience I can no longer be affiliated in any way with an organization I consider to be fraudulent, lacking in morals, inconsistent, and in many ways trashy. I do not support this system in any way.

“In my heart I believe in honesty, fair play, a fair opportunity, and high moral integrity, none of which in my opinion are part of this pageant system any longer,” she added.

Monnin alleges that she saw a list of the top five finalists the morning of June 3, before the show even began. She reportedly resigned on Monday, according to CNN.

Pageant officials call her claims “false,” and in an interview with “Good Morning America,” Miss USA head honcho Donald Trump opened up about all the controversy, USA Today reports.

“It’s loser’s remorse. If you look at her … you understand why she’s not in the Top 15,” he stated, further calling her allegations “totally ridiculous.”

When asked about the rumor that she took issue with the transgendered contestants now being allowed to compete, he added, “I don’t think she had an issue with that. I think her primary issue is she lost and she’s angry about losing. In my opinion, I saw her for barely a second — she didn’t deserve to be in the top 15.”

As the controversy continues, one of the show’s judges, Joe Jonas, has denied Monnin’s claims that the pageant’s outcome was predetermined. He tweeted, “All I can say … is the Miss USA competition was NOT rigged. Miss (Rhode Island) USA won fair and square.”

Will Smith Admits Time Travel In ‘MIB 3′ Was Tricky

NEW YORK — For “Men in Black,” aliens aren’t out-of-this-world enough on their own anymore. Time travel needs to be brought into the equation as well. The third installment in the star-studded sci-fi series adds that fourth dimension-bending element as Agent J (Will Smith) travels back in time to work alongside a young Agent K (Josh Brolin) to save the future. It’s as complicated as it sounds, not just for the fans, but for the actors and filmmakers themselves.

“You cannot put your head around time travel,” Smith told MTV News on the “Men in Black 3″ red carpet in New York on Wednesday. “We would sit around for hours and hours trying to figure out what happens if you go back into the past and you do something [differently].”

It’s a conundrum that kept director Barry Sonnenfeld up at night while shooting the third “Men in Black” movie. “Coming up with ideas and plots and stories for aliens was easy, but time travel was really hard,” the filmmaker confessed. “Every time you think you have it figured out, you would wake up at three in the morning and think, ‘But wait, if I kill him, wouldn’t he ….’ You have to start all over again!”

In the real world, time travel is a tricky concept for “Men in Black”
newcomer Alice Eve to wrap her head around, too. “[The existence of] time travel would be weird,” she said. “I could go back to your childhood and change it, and then you would be somewhere else right now. You wouldn’t be with MTV. Would you be happy with that?”

The answer, Ms. Eve, is a resounding no, especially since this job afforded this lucky reporter the chance to ask the infamous Donald Trump to weigh in on the time travel debate. We asked the “Apprentice”
host and real-estate mogul for his thoughts on which of the two “Men in Black 3″ concepts is harder to accept — time travel or aliens — and his answer was predictably priceless.

“You always have to go with time travel,” he said. “We’ve seen plenty of aliens, believe me.”

For Brolin, the answer isn’t so easy. The younger Agent K said that as an actor, he’s able to “cheat time travel” by spending months with characters living in different time periods. “I believe in aliens, too,” he said. “They’re just so much fun. I grew up on Asimov, Ray Bradbury, ‘Martian Chronicles,’ all of that stuff. So neither [concept is hard to believe]. I love both. I don’t care if it’s not true: It’s true to me, in my head!”

In the end, there’s no doubt that time travel creates some wacky, existential questions that can keep the mind boggled for hours — which is exactly why Smith refuses to think about it too much.

“Trying to figure out those [questions]? Just forget it,” he laughed.
“Just try to make it funny and don’t ask.”

Mac Miller Brings The Macadelic Experience To Bamboozle Festival

By Rob Markman

Mac Miller brought the party to the Jersey Shore on Saturday with an energetic performance at the Bamboozle music festival in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

“I’m just tryin’ to bring a show, man. I want to bring a performance, I want to bring them into the Macadelic experience,” Mac told MTV News hours before he took the stage at the Bamboozle music festival in New Jersey.

Skrillex, Mike Posner, Incubus and Miller all took to Bamboozle’s main stage on the opening night of the three-day fest, and they didn’t disappoint. For Mac’s set, which began at 7 p.m. ET, the Pittsburgh MC brought a portion of his Macadelic Tour to concertgoers who had come to see an array of rock, rap and EDM artists.

It was all high-energy when Miller, who was dressed in an “RIP MCA” tee, set things off with the title track from his #1 debut album, Blue Slide Park. From there, EZ Mac launched into “Don’t Mind If I Do” from his 2010 breakout tape, K.I.D.S. Always one to represent for his crew, Miller, his DJ, Clockwork, and hypeman Treejay bounced up and down to “My Team,” and then turned things up a notch with the rambunctious “Knock Knock,” all to the youthful crowd’s delight.

While a majority of the Rostrum rapper’s catalog is centered on feel-good jams, he does show range on introspective cuts like “Angels (When She Shuts Her Eyes).” Even when he wasn’t ping-ponging frantically across the stage, the crowd responded to Miller’s more subdued tracks by waving their hands side to side, showing him that they too are capable of more than just getting crunk.

Before he dove into “Best Day Ever,” Mac took a bit of a breather while old Miller family home movies played on a big screen. All the teenage girls cooed as they watched baby Mac open birthday presents and sing along to the Sugar Hill Gang‘s seminal hip-hop track “Rapper’s Delight.”

“I wanted to represent the music through visuals, I’ve always been a very visual person,” he explained to us before the show. “I wanted to use that to create the aesthetics of the show and show people what all of the songs mean to me and put them into that world.”

Miller picked up the mood with the electric “Frick Park Market” and drew immediate crowd participation with the first line. After spitting, “My name Mac Miller,” the crowd responded right on time with a thunderous, “Who the f— are you?”

It was a lesson on how to properly connect with your audience, one that’s invested in every word you rhyme. Last year when Miller dropped his now-gold-selling single “Donald Trump,” he promised to “take over the world,” and despite all of his success he still makes that vow at the end of each and every show. Last night was no different. After a 40-minute set, Mac sealed the deal with a spirited rendition of “Trump” and then marched off to continue to make good on his promise, one stage at a time.

Mac Miller Makes It The Best Day Ever At Bamboozle

ASBURY PARK, New Jersey — There’s only so much partying on Fifth Ave. that a man can do, so on Friday night, Mac Miller hit the Jersey Shore and threw an old-fashioned beach party.

“I’m just tryin’ to bring a show, man. I want to bring a performance, I want to bring them into the Macadelic experience,” Mac told MTV News hours before he took the stage at the Bamboozle music festival in New Jersey.
