French’s debut album Excuse My French is due on May 21 and the Bronx rapper thinks it’s gonna be one to remember, telling MTV News it’ll be the album of the decade. “I don’t understand what people want me to say. I know my work,” he said confidently. “I know that I’m the hottest in the game with no album out. Let’s get that clear.”

“When Muhammad Ali stepped in the ring, he knew what he was doing. I feel like [I'm just] breathing a breath of fresh air in the game, just bringing a different sound. Every time I play [the album] for anybody, they love it.”

French Montana, Diddy, MGK, Red Cafe, Los Shoot ‘Ocho Cinco’ Video

The new visuals to accompany French Montana’s “Ocho Cinco” premiere Sunday morning on MTV.com but in the meantime, MTV News dropped by the video shoot in Los Angeles for a little preview. Diddy, Machine Gun Kelly, Los and Red Café were all on set.

Machine Gun Kelly, clearly a fan of the track, explained why he was excited to be involved. “‘Ocho Cinco’ is the new s—. You can walk up to an old white lady, and be like ‘what’s up with that ocho cinco’ and she won’t know what you’re talking about,” he explained. “They don’t know what it means yet.” He’s got a good point.

Diddy, in his usual black leather, took a minute to remind fans that Excuse My French is on the way. “Freaks” is the latest single from the album featuring Nicki Minaj, which French debuted last week. “I just felt like she was one of the hottest female artists to come out of New York in a while, and I felt the same about me,” he explained on Wednesday’s episode of “RapFix Live.” ”So I felt it was a record that’s more for the city — [you] see two people that’s doing real good put a record together.”

Excuse My French is currently due May 21.

[News] Machine Gun Kelly Talks Possible Eminem Collaboration, Names Favorite Eminem LP

Machine Gun Kelly says that he would record a “dark” track with Eminem.

Machine Gun Kelly recently sat down with Montreality to discuss the negative portrayal of DMX in the media as well as his worst injury. During the interview, MGK spoke on the possibility of a collaboration with Eminem, stating that he would want to record something that has a “dark” feel and likened it to his track with DMX.

“If an MGK and Eminem song ever comes out, that will be the day that everybody fucks with me. That would be so crazy,” he said. “It’ll be like a darker song. It’ll be like how me and X did. I did the type of song you’d want to hear DMX do. I knew what the fans wanted to hear. They don’t want to hear DMX motivating motherfuckers. They want to hear that motherfucker speak that dark shit. Same with Em. I’d bring the old Eminem out that I like.”

The Bad Boy signee also spoke on his favorite Eminem album and song, naming The Eminem Show and “Till I Collapse” as his choice picks. He pointed at the latter, wondering why Marshall never performs the song live.

Favorite Eminem album is The Eminem Show. Favorite Eminem song? Probably ‘Till I Collapse.’ So good, dude. Why does he never perform that song? What’s going on with him? Perform that. It’s so good.”

MGK Twists ’12 Days Of Christmas’ With Chicken Wings, Strippers

Who knew Machine Gun Kelly was filled with such holiday cheer? Maybe he took a cue from his rapping idol DMX, who delivered the most amazing version of “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” ever. Or maybe MGK is just dreaming of a kick-ass Christmas. Whatever the reason, Diddy’s “Wild Boy” laced fans with his own version of the Yuletide classic “12 Days of Christmas” for an MTV “12 Holidaze” performance.

“On the first day of Christmas,” Kells begins to sing and play guitar before he stops to laugh, remarking on how bad his singing voice is.

After a do-over, MGK, who is surrounded by hanging gold tinsel and backed by a faux-fireplace, begins his Christmas countdown listing off the gifts he’s received on the days leading up to December 25. Let’s just say the rising rapper made out like a bandit. In his stocking, there’s a purple Christmas tree from Snoop Dogg, two Lace Up CDs, three kung-fu ninjas, four naked strippers and five chicken wings.

Kells could’ve held out for more but on the sixth day of Christmas he got a bit impatient. So what did he get? “A-fast-forward-button-to-go-through-all-the-days-of-Christmas-because-this-song-is-really-annoying,” he sang before ending the tune and smashing his guitar in true rock-star fashion.

Watch The Wanted melt snow (and hearts) for the “12 Holidaze!”

This year, Kelly, who was a well-regarded rap prospect, celebrated his break out year. In March he dropped his Half Naked and Almost Famous EP on Bad Boy Records, and then in October, Kells returned with his official major-label debut long player Lace Up. The album featured key collaborations from Waka Flocka Flame, Tech N9ne, DMX, and of course the Cleveland, Ohio, representative’s passionate rhymes. In 2012, MGK laid a solid foundation for himself and we’re all looking forward to what 2013 will bring.

Diddy Thanks Fans For ‘Support’ After Car Accident

Diddy has proven to be resilient within the music industry, and the entertainment mogul is also recovering just fine after he sustained a few minor injuries in a car accident in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The accident happened after a car attempted a left turn in front of Diddy’s SUV, causing both vehicles to collide. When cops arrived at the scene, both Diddy and his driver, plus passengers in the other car, complained of pain, but it was not immediately clear how much damage was done.

On Thursday (October 25), a spokesperson for Diddy issued a statement to MTV News, confirming that he’s receiving treatment following the accident. “Sean Combs sustained multiple injuries in yesterday’s car accident including to his neck, ribs and collarbone. He is currently receiving treatment for these injuries from his physicians and would like to thank all of his fans for the outpouring of support that he has received since the accident.”

Russell Simmons was one of the first to break news of Diddy’s accident, tweeting, “Glad to hear my man Puff is ok…” And it seems like the Bad Boy CEO is still in good spirits following the accident, as he took to his own Twitter account Thursday to share one quick message: “Woah…that was a close one!”

Although he needs some recovery time, it’s doubtful this will keep Diddy away from work for too long. In the past couple of weeks, he’s been actively promoting the work of his latest Bad Boy signee, Machine Gun Kelly. MGK released his debut album, Lace Up, last week, and just one day before the crash, Diddy was encouraging fans to check out the album’s accompanying documentary.

Diddy Injured In A Car Crash

Diddy was reportedly involved in a car accident in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening (October 24) that left him and another driver injured.

According to TMZ, a vehicle attempted to turn left in front of Diddy’s SUV when the two vehicles collided. Law enforcement officials arrived at the scene and claimed that each of the victims, including Diddy, his driver and the other driver, complained of pain. An ambulance was called, but no one sought medical attention at the hospital. No citations were issued.

Following the incident, Russell Simmons tweeted, “Glad to hear my man Puff is ok…” along with a link to the story. We’re hoping Uncle Rush knows something that we don’t about Diddy’s status.

The mogul, actor and rapper has been keeping especially busy lately balancing various projects. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Diddy has signed on to make a cameo on the FX sitcom “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” and has a role in the upcoming film “Shoedog.” He is also slated to appear on Pluto 3D, the repackaging of Future’s debut album, with a feature alongside Ludacris on the “Same Damn Time (Remix).”

When Diddy isn’t busy working on his own career, he’s mentoring his Bad Boy Records artists, including Machine Gun Kelly, who MTV News checked in with early this month. According to MGK, Diddy’s original reaction upon hearing his new album, Lace Up, was confusion. “I think when he heard it, his initial reaction was like, ‘Damn, why are you so angry?’ ” But the album must have grown on the Bad Boy Records CEO: “I ended having dinner with him the other day, and he looked at me like, ‘Yo, man, I really love the album.’ “
