Six films into any film series, the premise of the movies is going to seem a little stale. Even with a franchise as fun as “Fast & Furious,” you can’t help but start to think, “Cars? What else you got?”
The answer: How about a tank?
As a part of “MTV First: Fast & Furious 6,” we are debuting an exclusive look at the upcoming film, and we’re throwing in a 30-minute interview with Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, and Michelle Rodriguez for good measure.
All of the action starts at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV and continues right here for the interview portion immediately after the clip!
The Hangout Music Festival returns to Gulf Shores, Alabama this weekend running from May 17-19, with headlining acts Stevie Wonder, Kings of Leon and Tom Petty, but there are also a few shows that dedicated hip-hop heads need to catch, including Kendrick Lamar and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis.
Kendrick Lamar: hip-hop’s golden child will be hitting the stage on Saturday, giving fans a chance to hear singles from his critically acclaimed major label debut good kid, m.A.A.d city. The album has been fueled by singles like “Swimming Pools, “Poetic Justice” featuring Drake, and even “Bitch Don‘t Kill My Vibe,” which recently got a remix verse from Jay-Z. K. Dot even took the time to eulogize the drug molly in his recent video for the song, never ceasing to blow our minds. (Set time: 6:00pm on Saturday, May 18).
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis: Fresh off a showstopping performance at the MTV Movie Awards, the Seattle duo are ready to storm the South. Their current single “Can’t Hold Us” is already double Platinum, following the monster hit “Thrift Shop” which was about four times Platinum the last time we checked. Macklemore is known for his energetic shows and we have a feeling he’s gonna have a grand ol’ time in beautiful Gulf Shores. (Set time: 6:15pm on Friday, May 17).
The Roots: We’re still trying to figure out what’s up with the title of The Roots’ new album & Then You Shoot Your Cousin (yea, you read that correctly) but maybe they’ll drop some hints, or even perform some new tracks when they hit the stage this weekend. (Set time: 4:45pm on Saturday, May 18)
Public Enemy: The legendary group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, and luckily enough you can still catch them live these days. (Set time: 1:30pm on Saturday, May 18)
MTV, VH1 and CMT will be on the ground at Hangout 2013, bringing you all the latest news, interviews, performances and more from the Shores. If you’re not able to be there, be sure to check in and watch live streaming performances all weekend.

Lionsgate has debuted an awesome new poster for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.” In it, Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen wears her bow and arrow and stands on top of a mountain as the mockingjay symbol forms in the clouds behind her.
“The sun persists in rising, so I make myself stand,” the tagline of the new poster reads. It was posted by the official “Hunger Games” Instagram account.
This is the first we’ve seen of “Catching Fire” since MTV premiered the trailer at the 2013 MTV Movie Awards. If it’s not already clear from the poster, this sequel is going to be a very different beast than its predecessor. Not only does it have a new director in the form of Francis Lawrence, but it also has a new sort of heroine.
While Katniss Everdeen was coming into her own in “The Hunger Games,” here she has seen the true darkness of the Capitol and knows what she’s up again. The tagline on the poster implies that she will continue to stand against Panem’s government, and the image makes us think she’ll be forced to use her bow and arrow once again.
“The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” is due in theaters on November 22.

On Wednesday, the multiplatinum producer will check in with “RapFix Live” to discuss his upcoming project with rapper Mos Def a.k.a. Yasiin Bey and, of course, Cash Money‘s upcoming Big Tymers‘ LP. Juicy J will also be on hand to talk about his upcoming solo album Stay Trippy, which is due in July.
Catch Juicy J, Mannie Fresh, Lore’l and Oun P on “RapFix Live” Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET on RapFix.MTV.com and on MTV Jams. Be sure to join the Twitter conversation using the hashtag #RapFixLive. Send your questions for the artists to @MTVRapFix!
