Nicki Minaj Makes Lil Wayne Nervous With Sexy Lapdance At 2013 Billboard Music Awards

By Maurice Bobb

“All that ass.” That was Lil Wayne’s astute observation of Nicki Minaj’s assets after sitting in a chair onstage as she gyrated and worked her ample caboose while lapdancing on the YMCMB CEO during her sexy performance of “High School” on the 2013 Billboard Music Awards Sunday (May 19) night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

After starting off the live broadcast with a win for top rap artist, the Queen of the Barbz, dressed in ripped skin-tight black tights, gold spiked jacket and Chanel baseball cap, returned near the end of the telecast for a duet performance of the Weezy-assisted third single from her sophomore LP, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up.

Animated and writhing like a nymph with her dancers, the Pink Friday femcee served up her verse with sultry authority before Tunechi entered stage right dressed in a white muscle shirt and pants with one leg pulled up to offer up his guest lyrics. For the encore, Minaj ushered a very nervous Wayne into his own private throne, straddled him and worked her voluptuous derrière for her boss better than the strippers at Miami’s King of Diamonds.

Although Wayne said he was “the luckiest guy in the world,” the whole ordeal had to be nerve-racking for the Carter IV mogul, who thinks of the “American Idol” judge more as a sister than an exotic temptress.

“He refused to touch me, he’s so respectful, he refused to touch me, and then I was like, ‘Wayne,’ I was like, ‘You could do this.’ But he was acting scared, like, ‘Yo, Nick, this is my dream. I’m gonna be a man after this video.’ He was just being crazy,” Minaj told MTV News last month. “But if I didn’t tell him ‘Yes, you can do this’ or ‘touch this,’ he refused to do it, like he’s a southern gentlemen, which people don’t realize.”

Frank Ocean And James Blake Performing At Drakes OVO Fest

Drake will host his 4th annual OVO Fest in his hometown Toronto from Sunday August 4 to Monday August 5, and this year’s headliners will be Frank Ocean and electro-soul singer James Blake.

OVO Fest will be held at the Molson Canadian Amphitheatre and though more performers haven’t been announced just yet, we’re pretty sure he’ll have a few guest performers up his sleeve.

Last year Drizzy did it bring, tapping the Weeknd, 2 Chainz, Rick Ross and Nicki Minaj. And let’s not forget that past performers have included Eminem, Jay-Z and Nas. How’s he gonna top himself this year? We’ll find out soon enough. The YMCMB rapper’s third album Nothing Was The Same is due this year and while there’s no word on a release date just yet, it’s more than likely that he’ll be performing new material from the album.

Nicki Minaj Talks Childhood Troubles, Cyber Bullies In ‘Teen Vogue’

Nicki Minaj Talks Childhood Troubles, Cyber Bullies In ‘Teen Vogue’

By Henna Kathiya

Nicki Minaj graces the current cover of Teen Vogue with her funky twist on girly couture. The “American Idol” judge is wearing a pink tutu for the June/July edition of the mag. In her interview Minaj opened up about her past, working in the music industry and even tackled the subject of online bullying.

Nicki talked to the mag about the ins and outs of the music industry and how sometimes she can’t take the “popularity contest” that it can sometimes be “People treat this business like its high school. It can absolutely feel like one big popularity contest, and you know what? I can’t be bothered,” she said. “I can’t allow myself to play ridiculous games with grown adults in the industry. I can’t be nice to someone just because they’re hot right now. I can’t do it.”

Nicki is a force to be reckoned with now, with her stint as a judge on “American Idol” and many awards under her belt- but the YMCMB rapper wasn’t always so confident as a kid. “Every time my parents fought, my mother would have us move and I would have to go to a new school, which meant I’d have to face the task of making new friends. I dreaded it,” she explained. “I had butterflies in my stomach each time: Are people going to like or hate me? … Sometimes there’d be a fight, sometimes not. I let people know I wasn’t going to be pushed around.”

With nearly 17 million followers on Twitter, it’s only inevitable that Nicki would get some haters online too. But the rapper knows how to deal with the negative comments- she told the mag she tries to ignore it. “I used to read the bad things people said about me. Then I asked myself, ‘Why am I reading that when I have millions of people saying great things?’ You cannot give negativity power,” she said. I tell teens, if you’re having a problem, there’s nothing wrong with deleting your social media. If people keep taunting you and you keep reading it, it’s poison.”

It was another star-studded affair at the 2013 Met Gala in New York City on Monday night (May 6) and hip-hop came out to represent. Kanye West finally scored Kim Kardashian an invite to the big bash, while Beyonce wore more clothing than she did last year and Nicki Minaj decided to go as blonde as possible. Other notable attendees included Alicia Keys, Eve, Jennifer Lopez and Bey’s sister Solange Knowles. Hit the jump for photos and see other stars’ outfits over at MTV Style.

Kanye West took the stage to perform during the Gala, at which point he took a moment to shout out his girlfriend Kim Kardashian, telling her how awesome she was, despite the criticism she apparently received…for her dress?

Nicki Minaj Throws An Assist To Carly Rae Jepsen On ‘Tonight, I’m Getting Over You’

By Sidney Madden

Carly Rae Jepsen teamed up with Nicki Minaj to provide fans with even more punchy girl power on her remix of “Tonight, I’m Getting Over You.” Minaj lent her rapid verses to Jepsen’s new single and fans have had plenty to say about the remixed track.

“When Carly Rae and Nicki get together, they make songs about getting over guys,” Jepsen’s  manager Scooter Braun told MTV News of the song. “Whenever girls do songs about getting over men, they seem to do really well.”

In the song, Minaj raps about hitting the club, meditating and even doing yoga (or as she calls it, “yog-er” as methods to combat a recent heartbreak. This is the second time that “the female Weezy” has lent her voice to a track by a Scooter Braun-managed artist. Minaj joined forces with Justin Beiber on “Beauty and a Beat” last year and the result was an absolute domination of the airwaves.

The remix of “Tonight I’m Getting Over You” featuring Minaj’s temporary takeover dropped yesterday. Has musical lightning struck twice for Minaj and School Boy Records? Barbz and Jepsies seem to think so.
