‘V/H/S/2′ Red Band Trailer: Aliens, SUVs, And Exploding Naked Men

Here’s a great way to start off your Thursday. The first NSFW trailer for “V/H/S/2,” the sequel to the found footage anthology that scared the crap out of us last year, just dropped over at Yahoo! Movies. What the preview emphasizes—aside from how freaking scary this thing looks—is the serious talent they’ve lined up to direct segments for the second go around.

For the sequel, you’ll see found footage short films from the directors of “The Raid: Redemption,” upcoming horror flick “You’re Next,” “Hobo With a Shotgun,” and “The Blair Witch Project.”

The consensus coming out of Sundance this year was that “V/H/S/2,” then called “S-V/H/S,” is much scarier than its predecessor and uses the found footage format to greater effect.

We’ll find out when “V/H/S/2″ hits VOD on June 6 and theaters on July 12.

Lonely Island Brings Spring Break To ‘Between Two Ferns’ With Zach Galifianakis

Lonely Island Brings Spring Break To Between Two Ferns With Zach Galifianakis

The boys from Lonely Island have a brand new single, “Spring Break Anthem,” and they went on Zach Galifianakis‘ talk show “Between Two Ferns” to perform it for the first time.

The segment transitions to a full-on spring break video, complete with a cameo from Alien aka James Franco and one other star that you’ll have to watch to video to see. Plus, the song is solid. It’s your typical Lonely Island jam. Hilarious, anti-bro, and utterly bizarre.

The new album from Lonely Island, “The Wack Album,” drops on June 11.

Ryan Gosling In ‘Only God Forgives’ Clips: A Much Darker ‘Drive’

Ryan Gosling In Only God Forgives Clips: A Much Darker Drive

The footage and images from Nicolas Winding Refn and Ryan Gosling‘s second collaboration “Only God Forgives” that have started to trickle out ahead of a July 19 release in the U.S. have painted a picture in a much darker shade of neon than their first work together, “Drive.”

Yes, Gosling will be back as the silent, violent type in a film shot in Refn’s impeccable style, but as the first three clips (via The Playlist) from “Only God Forgives” demonstrate, this is a more violent, more psychosexual movie than “Drive” ever was.

Watch all three NSFW clips after the jump!

The first clip features the shot from the trailer that probably made you cringe the most. As he’s sitting in a club, Gosling’s Julian gets up without a word and beats the crap out of the two guys across from him, eventually dragging one of them down the hallway by his teeth.

The next clip introduces us to Julian’s charming mother, the Thai-based drug lord Crystal. The matriarch is unimpressed by Julian’s date and his lack of support after the death of his brother Billy, who apparently had a bigger penis.

The third clip focuses on Chang, the cop that drives the action of “Only God Forgives.” When a hit on him goes wrong, he chases down his would-be assassins to dish out his own particular style of justice.

“Only God Forgives” opens in U.S. theater on July 19.

7 Things We Learned From J.J. Abrams’ Playboy Interview

7 Things We Learned From J.J. Abrams Playboy Interview

Director of all geek movies that have nothing to do with superheroes, J.J. Abram, gave an extensive interview to Playboy (site is NSFW) in the weeks before “Star Trek Into Darkness” hits theaters and we finally, finally find out if the identity of Benedict Cumberbatch‘s character was worth obsessing over.

The interview itself is full of some interesting tidbits and non-answers about both “Trek” and “Star Wars,” a plus of Abrams saying “Here’s the thing” a lot.

Check out our highlights from the interview after the jump!

He’s not openly commenting on Jar Jar Binks…
“You won’t like this answer, but it’s so early it would be insane to discuss details or get into plot points about what this unfilmed movie will be. And I’m not going to give my opinion on the original movies or characters.”

…but he knows some stuff didn’t work in previous “Star Wars” movies.
“With ‘Star Wars,’ one has to take into account what has preceded it, what worked, what didn’t. There are cautionary tales for anything you take on that has a legacy—things you look at and think, I want to avoid this or that, or I want to do more of something. But even that feels like an outside-in approach, and it’s not how I work. For me, the key is when you have a script; it’s telling you what it wants to be.”

“Star Wars” has to look different from “Star Trek.”
“As with anything, because these are very different worlds, they shouldn’t feel the same aesthetically. They can’t. You’re right. But again, I don’t apply aesthetics first and fit a movie into that aesthetic. If I had come into ‘Star Trek‘ with those eyes, I would probably have been paralyzed.”

He’s a big “Looper” fan.
Rian Johnson. I love what he did with ‘Looper,’ the scope of the movie and the emotion—and that moment when we discover who the Rainmaker is is one of the most chilling, awesome moments I’ve seen in movies in a long time. He has a big career ahead of him.”

Abrams looked online after the “Star Wars” news broke.
“A little. With ‘Star Wars‘ I glanced at some things here and there just to make sure I wasn’t getting my ass kicked, and the response was kinder than I expected, which was nice. It’s a funny thing. I feel very analog as a human being, which is of course ironic because I love editing, sound design and visual effects.”

He might come back for “Star Trek 3.”
“No. I would say it’s a possibility. We’re trying to figure out the next step. But it’s like anything: It all begins with the story.”

“Cloverfield II” might depend on how well “Pacific Rim” and “Godzilla” do.
“Part of me just wants to let it go, though we’ve had a couple of discussions about cool ways to do it. I’m looking forward to seeing ‘Pacific Rim‘ this summer. It feels like there are some really big monsters coming down the pike that could inspire something we do.”

For Ryan Gosling and Nicolas Winding Refn‘s next movie together after “Drive,” you’d expect a similar dream-like, violent yarn to match their first collaboration. You may not have been expecting the seriously tripped-out trailer for “Only God Forgives” that popped up a few weeks back.

Now, after an official Cannes line-up announced the duo’s return to the festival, two new international (and NSFW) trailers have gone online (via The Playlist), and they give you more of the same but with some extra insight into the story of revenge and Thai boxing.

‘Hemlock Grove’ Red Band Trailer: ‘You’ve Got To Be F—-ing Kidding Me’

FROM MTV NEWS

Today, MTV News is premiering a very exclusive, very NSFW, and very gross red band trailer for “Hemlock Grove,” the new Netflix-only series from producer Eli Roth.

As you can see in the trailer, when all of the episodes for “Hemlock Grove” debut on Netflix on April 19, there will be plenty of grisly sights to take in before it’s all over.

Hemlock Grove” stars Bill Skarsgård, of the Stellan and Alexander Skarsgårds, as Roman Godfrey. When a girl from Hemlock Grove turns up dead near the Godfrey family steel mill, Roman takes it upon himself to solve the mystery.

Along the way, Roman will team up with Peter Rumancek, played by Landon Liboiron, a teenage gypsy who might have more to him than he first lets on. Specifically, he might be a werewolf, and if the trailer above is any indication, the transformation might not be as sexy as “Twilight.”

Keanu Reeves In ‘Generation Um…’: Exclusive Clip And Interview

Keanu Reeves may be best known for his wire-fighting kung fu moves, but for the past few years, the “Matrix” star has taken on smaller, quieter projects, the most recent of which, “generation Um…” opens in theaters on May 3.

In anticipation of “generation Um…,” we’re bringing you an exclusive NSFW clip from the film. You can watch the preview above, and learn what Keanu Reeves had to say about the movie below.

Click past the jump to read our interview with Keanu Reeves!

How did you get involved with “generation Um…”?
I was working on a film, and one of the people I was working with had a script. I said, “I will read it.” It was “generation Um…” and I really liked it. It turned out that they had developed it with the writer, Mark L. Mann, and I said, “Let’s go make this movie.” So we went off to create “generation Um….”

I would imagine the script was pretty sparse. What was in that won you over?
One of the things that did hit me was the dialogue, the characters themselves, and the relationships that they had to each other, how their relationships evolve. To me, it was these three people who were connected, but also very separate. For me, I felt it was an exploration of breakthrough into a hard-earned intimacy, the beginning of a friendship. I thought that the script had a kind of elegance to it.

The title implies that these are generational themes. How did you connect with the stories?
Personally, it struck me to the taste. I hope that this individual story has universal themes to it, especially western cities. There is a generational aspect to it. It’s a young lady in her 20s, a young lady in her 30s, and a gentleman who just turned 40. For me, I would just say that the writing and the situation, what happens in the script and the story that we’re trying to tell was just to my taste, which I guess was born from my life experiences.

You actually got to film on the streets on New York City? What was it like being out there with a camera?
Those were some really fun shooting days. One of the ambitions of the film is a kind of verite and strict formalism. For me, shooting on the street, Super 16, kind of making it up, but also having a strong idea of what we wanted to get out there. John walks through the city streets. What does he see? What does he look at? We get to know John by this attention to the character, him, and also attention to what John pays attention to. How do the city streets affect him? How do they affect us? In terms of just hitting the streets with a camera and walking the world, that’s fun filmmaking.

Did you have to dumb-down your shooting skills in a sense? I can’t imagine John knows how to shoot like Keanu.
Absolutely, but John is talented. He’s a natural. He’s got a taste, an aesthetic sense. He pays attention to head room and keeping the camera stable. I think, for me, one side if I’m listening to one character and another character speaks, it’s like when do you pan over? When do you zoom in? When do you not pan over is a decision as well. What is John’s focus? On the actor’s side of it, this is a moment for the other character, let’s pick back.

Full-Length ‘Hannibal’ Trailer Gets: NBC Hopes You Enjoy Gore

For the past decade or so, primetime TV has been a place where you can see horrific acts of violence at 9/8 CT, yet none of the “CSI“s, “NCIS“s, or “SVU“s can hold a candle to the kind of blood-and-guts horrors on display in the first full-length trailer for Bryan Fuller##Q##s “Hannibal.”

The project has drawn a great deal of interest from the very beginning for a number of reasons. Fuller has dealt mainly in cult-beloved series with short lifespans, and the monstrous character Hannibal Lecter has always drawn attention from the morbidly curious, anticipating their next bite.

Now a full-length trailer from NBC (via EW) has given the fans and internet comments another talking point. The preview does not pull many punches when depicting the bloody murders that Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy, investigates.

Check out the trailer above, but be aware, it is very NSFW.
