The mystery man occasionally seen with Whitney Houston prior her death, Raffles van Exel, believes he is “off the hook” in the investigation of the late singer’s death. After countless accounts of suspicion towards the so-called entertainment consultant, sources have concluded that previous reports of an outsider sprinting away with the drugs from the late singer’s hotel room are untrue. Sources assure that the Beverly Hills PD is satisfied with the evidence they have compiled and will proceed in closing the case.
Van Exel had fallen under suspicion earlier this month when he was quoted telling a Dutch magazine he had tidied up Whitney’s room prior to the arrival of authorities. “Someone had to do it,” he responded when asked by reporters what prompted him to do so.
TMZ has disclosed that van Exel will be going to the Beverly Hills PD next week along with his lawyer to make sure he is no longer a factor in the case. People close to van Exel have also apparently told a gossip site he is “extremely relieved” he hasn’t been a focus of Beverly Hills PD.
In other Whitney news, Whitney’s mother, Cissy Houston, who has been noticeably quiet about her daughter’s death, will finally open up in a pre-taped interview with New Jersey’s MY9 news station. The interview is set to air on Monday April 2.
